
It has been observed that persons applying to the Commissioner of Police for permission to play amplified music are not adhering to the stipulated time according to law within which these applications must be made.
The Royal Grenada Police Force wishes to inform the general public, that according to Section 18 (1) of the Noise Control Act # 7 of 2006, persons applying for permission to play amplified music or use a loudspeaker, must apply to the Commissioner of Police, in writing, at least ten (10) clear days before the date in which it is proposed to be used.
Such application must be deposited at the police station nearest to the proposed venue and must contain, telephone contact number, the name and address of applicant; date, time and place of use and hours of operation.
Persons wishing to engage in activities involving the use of amplified music or loud speakers for these activities, are encouraged to abide by the time limit according to law, in order for their application to be considered.
