TEAMS LOOK FOR SEMI FINAL SPOT IN NATIONAL MASTERS COMPETITION

National Masters Competition With two more rounds of matches in the National Masters Competition all six teams will be looking for victory this weekend to clinch or at least get closer to clinching a spot for the Semi Final Stage of the Competition.

Three matches will be played this Sunday; archrivals St. Mark’s Veterans and St. John’s Wizards will battle over at the Alston George Park. Both teams are on four points occupying the third and fourth positions in the points standings.

Over at the Pearls Ground, St. Andrew’s will host second place Real Old Men which they need to win to stay alive in the competition. What may be considered the feature match on Sunday will be the clash between unbeaten Veterans and River Road Legends at the Queens Park.

All matches begin at 4:00 p.m.

Tournament leading goalscorers are Roger Bruno (Veterans) and Dexter George (St. John’s Wizards) who will look to boost their chances of adding to their total of three goals so far in the competition.
